Here you'll find the new uniGUI roadmap which will clarify our path towards version 1.0.0 and beyond. Roadmap is divided into two time divisions. 3rd and 4th quarters of 2012. We will try to finish "the job" in this period of time which is until end of this year.
We will also try to keep the track with the proposed timetable below, but it may shift a bit into first quarter of 2013, as it is difficult to estimate the workload needed for each version in advance.
3rd quarter of 2012
Version 0.90.0
Ext JS 4 Support
Estimated target price, licensing and support model announcement
Minor bug and issue fix
Version 0.91.0
Final changes to Framework infrastructure, architecture and component system core
Additional Ext JS 4 support
Documentation for 3rd Party component development
Version 0.92.0
Major release for bug and Issue fix.
Additional documentation for 3rd Party component development.
Some new components.
At this point we may start selling beta licenses and/or annual support plans.
4th quarter of 2012
Version 0.93.0
Help and Documentation
SSL Support for standalone & Windows Service
Possible name change for the framework
Version 0.94.0
Finalization of framework features and component set for version 1.0.0
Additional bug fix
Improved documentation
Version 0.95.0
Additiona bug fix and documentation
Quality assurance
Preliminary support for Sencha Touch
Additional notes:
After version 0.95.0 we will quit standard version numbering and jump to RC (Release Candidate) versions. So next version after 0.95.0 will be 1.0.0RC1. Version 1.0.0 can be expected somewhere in last quarter of this year or first month of next year.
Above roadmap is a rough estimation and there is no guarantee that certain features will be included in a certain version.
Version 1.0.0 may include Sencha Touch support. If not, next target for Sencha Touch will be version 1.1.0.
Based on user feedback this roadmap may be revised any time after it is published.
Thanks for your interest and support for uniGUI. Please continue supporting by reporting bugs and sharing your opinions as always. Please remind me if I've missed anything above.
Kind Regards,
Farshad Mohajeri
